Task

For Cartier Jewelry House Bell'arte agency developed conception of the printed gift book with special content. On its pages, the magical odyssey is waiting for a reader. Accompanied by the legendary symbol of the jewelry house, its famous Cartier panther, the reader walks across all stages of the brand’s history since 1847.

The task for Ariseum team included the creation of augmented reality on the book's pages, and showing the fabulous atmosphere of the jewelry house by means of animated videos.

Solution

WebAr technology is demonstrated on the printed pages of the book. It enables user to open augmented reality directly in the browser, avoiding the download of the application. Using static pictures from customer our specialists developed animated videos, enlivening characters of the book.

How it works

Turning the pages, the reader sees special QR codes in these places, where the image is accompanied by augmented reality. By pointing the phone's camera to the QR code, the user opens the browser page with a video camera, points camera to the picture and find himself in the magical Cartier world.

Precious diamonds are scattered on the pages, the panther comes alive in exquisite interiors and the reader faces shots from old movies starring celebrities of Hollywood Golden Age.

What we've provided

Using WebAr plugins Ariseum team developed animated video, part of them featured by Alpha channel (transparent background). Our programmers placed videos on the customer's landing. It enables to implement augmented reality based on WebAr technology on the printed pages of Cartier book.

Equipment

Special Equipment is not necessary. WebAr technology deals with any kind of phones, based on iOS or Android, in any browser.
