Peter-Service is a company that develops OSS/BSS systems for Telecom operators. It was founded in 1992.

Task

To develop a mobile app for iOS and Android where employees of the company participating in the corporate event will be able to test their knowledge of the history of monuments and watch an animated model associated with the attraction in AR mode.

Solution

We have chosen an interactive quest as the most interesting way to test knowledge of the history. The company's employees have been divided into groups. Players, finding themselves at a particular architectural monument, have guessed the riddle associated with this place. The winner has been the one who had completed all the tasks faster and had returned to the base before others. As a prize for the correct answer an animated model have appeared on the screen in AR mode. We had developed models of various characters in literary works, historical figures, and objects. They appear depending on the player's location based on GPS coordinates and their correct answers.

For example, if the answer is correct, at the house of the Queen of Spades appears cards of the suit of spades, at the house of Rasputin a figure of the famous close of the Royal family emerges.

How it works

The user downloads the app and arrives at the desired point using the GPS navigator. The program catches its location and gives out a riddle related to this place. As a prize for the correct answer an animated model appears on the screen in AR mode.

For example, when the user points the camera at the Peter and Paul fortress, he sees the legendary eagle that pointed out to Peter I the construction site of the Cathedral.

Equipment

Mobile devices with iOS 8.0 or higher, and Android 5.0 or higher.

Result

The AR quest became an unforgettable adventure for the company's employees. They spoke enthusiastically about the mobile app.
