Rusatom Smart Utilities is a division of Rosatom State Corporation, which manages nuclear power assets and utility complex (NPUC).

Task

To develop 3D models of desalination complexes, nuclear power plants, and elements of urban infrastructure of various types for designing. To add animations of water, electricity, the structures appearance on the screen.

What we have provided

• Drawn into the operation of desalination complexes, puzzled out the facilities, their combination with nuclear power plants, thermal power plants and the specifics of use on both land and water. 
• Analyzed the design features of desalination and power plants of various types.
• Developed a visual concept for rendering models
• Drew a series of sketches with the arrangement of objects by mass
• Made models of the city infrastructure facilities, agricultural land, production sites, thermal power plants, nuclear power plants, and desalination complexes
• Animated all presentation objects
• Made a visual effect of water and electricity

Solution

Based on the analyzed marketing materials of RSU JSC, we have developed an individual stylistics for models development. Our sketch drawing reflected the most important parts of the presentation and the composition arrangement highlighting the key points. After approval, according to the developed designer script, we created the following objects:

• Landscape elements: Mountains, water, plain, forest

• Three types of a city: small, medium-sized and megapolis

• Three development objects: Agriculture, municipal needs and high-tech manufacturing

• Small, medium and high capacity NPP and CHP

• Three types of the desalination unit: Evaporating, combined and membranous

For all the 3D objects we have added animation of appearance and arrangement on the landscape. At the end of each of the design kit options, we animated the special effects of fresh water in pipes and electricity in wires.

To illustrate what is happening, 3D infographic elements and text inserts were also added to the presentation.
