For an interactive tour of the Nadym settlement based on VR technology, Ariseum developed a set of 3D models of characters and interiors in accordance with historical materials and drawings submitted by the customer. We also developed animated videos with special effects VFX.

Customer's background

History and Archaeology Museum of Nadym town is a state institution of culture. Its historical exposition is based on artifacts obtained during the excavation of the ancient settlement of Nadym mound.

What we've provided

Ariseum team developed an application for working with VR helmets using which the visitor appears inside the renewed mound. Using drawings and photos received from the Customer, Ariseum team created the world of ancient settlement in virtual reality, with all its streets, internal spaces, and populated it with animated characters.

Having made a significant research with the archives, our employees worked out in details the character's clothing, applied their national costumes, considering all historical nuances. The character's dwelling is decorated with weapons and household items, equal to the historical ones found during the excavation of the mound.

The whole landscape around the settlement fully complies with authentic view, all surrounding plants fairly renewed.

Result

The main goal of the project is to represent the features of everyday life, religious rites and cultural communications of Nadym settlement. Due to the interactive tour, it comes possible to immerse visitors in the historically renewed atmosphere of the ancient Russian North and give the general understanding of the daily activities of the indigenous population.
